Logan County WV Genealogical Society
Logan, West Virginia
Welcome to the Logan County WV Genealogical Society page. We are glad to have you with us. The Logan County Genealogical Society was formed and has been active since 1978. Meetings are held the second Monday of each month in the Logan Area Public Library at 6:00 p.m. in the West Virginia Room. The Library is connected to the Logan Middle School on Midelburg Island. The physical address is 16 Wildcat Way, Logan, West Virginia. Since the library staff actually locks the door at 6:00, you may want to be a few minutes early.
Instead of the regular meeting in June, a brief and informal meeting takes place the third Saturday of June when members bring their families for a picnic. This is held at the Chief Logan Park at Henlawson, West Virginia. This is a great time to exchange information and interact with fellow genealogists.
If you would like to become a member of our Society the cost is $15.00 a year. To join, complete and mail our Membership Form. Members receive our quarterly newsletter. We have members from all over the country. We would love to have you attend our meetings if you are in the Logan area. LCGS has many resources to help you with your search. Come join us.
