The Aracoma High was a black high school from 1929 until 1962. The school was located at Coal Branch. More information will be added when ascertained and time permits.

My grandmother graduated from Aracoma High School 1945/1946. Does anyone havee or know how I can obtain a yearbook from those years?
Amelia, what was her name and date born and died? What was her life history?
Her maiden name was Frances McCurdy/McCurtis. After graduating from Aracoma, she returned to her hometown of Bessemer (Birmingham), Alabama. She passed away August 24, 2017.
Amelia, thanks for your input. You have a very difficult job in finding the yearbook. I searched and found the website, abebooks.com. You can put your question into your online search and see what you can find. Also check with your local library. Hopefully you will find one.
Are there any student lists from the 30s-40s I would love to see family the family enrollments.
Some well respected Logan County citizens came out of this school. Many became great teachers. Some were businessmen.
