I read on the Facebook site that Steve Ratz Jr. of Cherry Tree died in a car wreck in 1961. The following info was found online. Morgantown WV Post News, as reported by the WV. State Police. Steve drove his 1958 Ponitac Sedan into a bridge in Blair WV. The weather was drizzly with rain and fog. This was on Wednesday night March 29,1961 about 11pm.
Maybe he was going home due to WVU spring break? The Post News stated Steve was a Junior in the college of Education. Does anyone know his field of study? Steves’ death record shows Steve Van Ratz Jr. born September 25,1940 death March 29, 1961 with burial on Saturday April 1 in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
